Meet Alyssa
I’m Alyssa (she/her) — an LCSW-C, EMDRIA Certified Therapist, Approved Consultant, and a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher living in Silver Spring, Maryland.
With over 15 years of clinical and community experience, I provide individual therapy and EMDR via telehealth and see clients in person at my office in Rockville, MD. I offer EMDR consultation toward EMDRIA certification, individually and in group offerings. I am also available to book for trainings on topics related to trauma-informed care, Sand Tray, EMDR, Polyvagal Theory, and Integrating Creative Modalities into Clinical Practice.
I hold licensures in Maryland, DC, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. I am also a board approved supervisor in Maryland and DC.
My approach is anti-racist, person-centered and trauma-focused.
Healing from trauma doesn’t have to feel heavy or clinical. I blend curiosity, humor, creativity and gentle challenge to make our work together both effective and often surprisingly enjoyable.
I have specialized training in working with survivors of sexual violence, complex trauma, childhood abuse, anxiety and depression. I’m committed to creating a space where all of you is welcome- your identities, your history and your full humanity.
