Alyssa, LCSW-C, is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant offering individual and group EMDR consultation toward EMDRIA Certification, clinical supervision for LGSWs in Maryland and DC, and consultation of consultation for Consultants-in-Training. She brings over 15 years of trauma-focused clinical experience to her work with fellow clinicians and agencies.

Short Term Case Consultation
Available for mental health professionals who want to deepen their use of EMDR with complex cases. These can be one time or ongoing consultations not counting toward certification hours. Alyssa specializes in:
• Complex PTSD and dissociative presentations
• Inverted Protocol and working with blocked processing
• Integrating IFS parts work with EMDR
• Polyvagal Theory-informed EMDR preparation and resourcing
• Working with adolescents
• Self injurious behavior, self destructive behaviors including substance use and suicidal ideation
EMDR Consultation towards Certification
If you've completed your EMDR Basic Training and are working toward EMDRIA Certification, consultation with an EMDRIA Approved Consultant is a required next step. Alyssa offers both individual consultation ($95/hr) and group consultation ($40/hr) to help you:
Build confidence and fluency with the standard 8-phase EMDR protocol
Develop your case conceptualization and treatment planning skills using the AIP model
Learn alternative and auxiliary EMDR procedures
Strengthen resourcing and preparation strategies for complex clients
Group consultation meets regularly. If pursuing individual consultation towards certification, a required minimum of 10 of your 20 EMDRIA-required hours must be completed with Alyssa as your consultant of record. Reach out to ask about current group availability.
Consulltaion for EMDR Consultants-in-Training (CIT)
Are you an EMDRIA Certified Therapist working toward becoming an EMDRIA Approved Consultant? The CIT pathway requires receiving consultation of consultation — that is, supervision of your own consultation work — from an Approved Consultant.
Alyssa offers individual and group consultation-of-consultation for CITs, helping you develop confidence in your role as a consultant and build toward your Approved Consultant credential. Contact Alyssa to learn about current group openings or to set up an individual arrangement.
Clinical Supervision for LGSWs- Maryland and DC
Alyssa is a Board Approved Supervisor in both Maryland and DC, offering individual and agency-based clinical supervision for Licensed Graduate Social Workers (LGSWs) working toward full licensure.
Her supervision style is trauma-conscious, culturally responsive, and grounded in anti-racist, equity-centered practice. She has particular experience supervising clinicians working with adolescents, trauma survivors, and marginalized communities. How many EMDR consultation hours can I get with you toward EMDRIA Certification?
You can complete both your individual and group consultation hours with Alyssa. EMDRIA requires a minimum of 20 consultation hours for certification, with at least 10 hours completed with one approved consultant.
Do you offer online EMDR consultation?
Yes. All consultation is available via telehealth, making it accessible to EMDR-trained therapists throughout Maryland, DC, Virginia, and beyond. Consultation is not state specific, so you can work with anyone in any state as long as they are EMDRIA Approved.
I'm an LGSW in Maryland or DC — can you be my supervisor?
